Verdale Tyson, M.S, LPC
Ms Verdale Tyson M.S, LPC – holds a Masters Degree in Special Education with a focus on Cognitive Delay and Learning Disabilities, (CD/LD). Ms. Tyson also holds a Learning Behavior Specialist type 1 certification in Illinois. She has worked as a special education teacher for over 25 years and brings experience in diagnostic testing for disabilities. Ms.Tyson is also currently completing clinical hours for her master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (Anticipated May 2023). She is interested in making mental health care an option for all those who are in need.
For several years Ms Tyson has focused on learning and developing those all-important skills necessary to be a great teacher and now, a Clinical Mental Health Counselor. As a personal mission, she strives to empower and improve others’ outlook and circumstances. She possesses treatment planning, crisis intervention, and counseling skills. Working with people from diverse backgrounds has provided her with a deep understanding and awareness of differences in both individuals and organizations.
