Verdale Tyson, M.S, LPC
Ms. Verdale Tyson, M.S., LPC – Ms. Tyson holds multiple degrees, including a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health and a Master’s in Special Education with a focus on Cognitive Delay and Learning Disabilities (CD/LD). She is a licensed professional therapist (LPC) and a doctoral candidate, with anticipated completion in June 2025. With over 25 years of experience as a special education teacher, she holds a Learning Behavior Specialist Type 1 certification in Illinois and has considerable expertise in diagnostic testing for disabilities.
Ms. Tyson works with teens and adults facing mental health challenges, including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia. She has dedicated several years to developing the skills necessary to excel as both a teacher and a Clinical Mental Health Counselor. Her personal mission is to empower individuals and improve their outlook and circumstances. She is skilled in treatment planning, crisis intervention, and counseling, and her experience working with diverse populations has deepened her understanding of individual and organizational differences, which she brings to her clinical practice in mental health.
