Tiona Colbert, MS, PsyD Student, is a doctoral candidate in Clinical Psychology at Capella University. She currently holds a Master of Science degree in Clinical Psychology. Tiona is also a Registered Nurse with more than 15 years of experience in medical and behavioral health, case management, care coordination, ambulatory care, community health, and utilization management. She is passionate about integrating physical and behavioral healthcare to provide holistic, culturally responsive, and evidence-informed care. Her clinical interests include working with anger management concerns, anxiety, trauma, posttraumatic stress symptoms, relationship concerns, and other issues affecting mental health. She also enjoys working with individuals managing chronic or complex medical conditions who may be experiencing emotional distress related to their health, treatment, or life transitions, as well as couples seeking to strengthen their relationships. Outside of her professional work, Tiona enjoys spending time with her husband, two sons, extended family, and friends. She is also an author who enjoys writing books that blend poetry, romance, inspiration, and personal reflection. She strives to create a supportive, collaborative environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered throughout their therapeutic journey.
