Her career change into psychology and private practice comes from a desire for knowledge and understanding especially about the impact of trauma and hardship on children and others. Shannon also mentors young people through a non-profit organization and has volunteered her time for many years with her church, providing support for women impacted by Domestic Violence.
In her leisure time she enjoys writing poetry, trying new restaurants, and laughter (comedy shows, silliness from family & friends, etc.)
