Ms Zaria Wright, M.A., Doctoral Student
Zaria earned her Master’s in forensic psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology and is currently completing her PsyD in clinical psychology with a specialization in forensics and diagnostic testing. Upon completion, she is also seeking to become licensed as a prescribing psychologist as well.
Professionally, Zaria has gained experience in social services and juvenile/adult justice and corrections. She has held director positions over community programs, clinical programs, as well, mental illness, behavioral management, child development, suicide prevention and awareness, LGBTQ+ and cultural diversity and inclusion, team building, parenting, self-care, CPR and First Aid, and Forensic programming.
Currently, Zaria works as a program manager of community forensic programs for the State of Illinois providing services to individuals who are unfit to stand trial or not guilty by reason of insanity. Her passions are working with youth, families, couples, the LGBTQ+ community and marginalized groups, as well as conducting evaluations and assessments. Her hobbies are watching and playing sports, listening to music, watching movies and the ID channel, and spending time with her family and her 3 dogs.
