Michael Mitchell, M.A., Doctoral Extern
Michael M. Mitchell, M.A., M.J., QMHP, offers in-office and telepsychology services to children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. He is currently pursuing his Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology at Capella University.
Michael earned a Master of Arts in Psychology and a Bachelor of Science in Public Safety Management from Calumet College of St. Joseph, as well as a Master of Jurisprudence in Child Law and Policy from Loyola University Chicago School of Law. He works collaboratively with clients to address concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, emotional regulation, life transitions, and relationship challenges, utilizing an integrative therapeutic approach that incorporates cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic, and humanistic principles.
In addition to his work as a Doctoral Psychology Extern with The Psychology Center, Inc., Michael serves as a psychology instructor at the collegiate level. He also dedicated many years to public service, experiences that continue to shape his compassionate, culturally responsive, and evidence-based approach to psychological care.
Born and raised in Chicago, Michael enjoys spending time with his family, mentoring students, traveling, and continually expanding his knowledge of psychology and neuropsychology.
