Jennifer Lawlor, MA, MA Candidate
Jennifer Lawlor, MA, MA Candidate, attended Quincy University (QU), in Quincy, IL, and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science with a minor in Theology. While at QU, Jennifer played NCAA DII softball, basketball, and soccer, and was inducted into the QU Athletic Hall of Fame for all three sports. Jennifer also holds a Master of Arts degree in Human Resource Development from Webster University, St. Louis, MO. Currently, Jennifer is in her third year of graduate school at National Louis University, where she is working to obtain a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with the goal of becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor. In addition to school, Jennifer works full-time as a Federal Law Enforcement Special Agent.
As a native of St. Louis, MO, Jennifer started her law enforcement career in 1997 as a police officer with the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department (SLMPD) where she worked for 4.5 years in a patrol car, answering 911 calls for service. In June 2001, Jennifer moved to Chicago, IL, and began her federal career as a Special Agent with the US Secret Service (USSS) doing dignitary protection and criminal investigations. In 2009, Jennifer laterally transferred to the US Department of Justice Office of the Inspector General (US DOJ OIG) where she conducted criminal and administrative internal affairs investigations that involved DOJ employees. In 2016, she laterally transferred to the US Postal Service OIG where she conducts USPS employee related criminal and administrative investigations. Jennifer is certified in Critical Incident Stress Management and serves as an active member of the USPS OIG Peer Support Team.
Jennifer has been married to her husband, Tim, for 18 years and they have four athletic, smart, and wonderful teenage children; and the best dog named Marco. Jennifer enjoys watching her children play sports, listening to music, riding her bicycle, and spending time with family and friends.
